Who We Are

Lawrence and Asangika Ihekweme

Lawrence and Asangika are the lead pastors of International Christian Church of Rome (ICCR). Lawrence is from Nigeria and Asangika is from Sri Lanka. They have three girls and one boy: Rachel, Shelomi, Faith and Joshua. Lawrence and Asangika are Students of Global University. 

They received the calling of God after arriving in Rome, Italy. As such, they have a passion to see a great awakening of the Holy Spirit in the city of Rome that would spread to the whole of Europe. Their desire is to train and equip disciples for Christ. Lawrence has already been given the opportunity to travel to various countries to preach. He believes that the time has come for the children of God to preach the Gospel with supernatural signs and wonders. Lawrence has a compassionate heart for the lost--wherever he goes, he shares about Christ with boldness.  

Asangika is a woman of faith. She preaches and teaches the word and loves to see people apply the word in their lives. She mentors women to grow and to fulfill the purpose God has for them.

 They believe 1 Corinthians 2:9 applies to their family and to the ICCR family: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived the things God has prepared for those who love him.”

Lawrence e Asangika sono i pastori leader della Chiesa Cristiana Internazionale di Roma (ICCR).  Lawrence è nato in Nigeria e Asangika è dallo Sri Lanka. Hanno tre belle figlie: Rachel, Selomi e Faith. Lawrence e Asangika sono studenti della Global University.

Hanno ricevuto la chiamata di Dio dopo il loro arrivo a Roma.. Il loro desiderio è quello di formare ed equipaggiare discepoli per Cristo. Lawrence ha già avuto l'opportunità di viaggiare in diversi Paesi e predicare l’Evalgeo. Egli ritiene che sia giunto il momento per i figli di Dio di predicare il Vangelo con segni soprannaturali e prodigi. Lawrence ha un cuore compassionevole per i perduti - ovunque vada, egli condivide Cristo con audacia .

Asangika è una donna di fede,  predica e insegna la Parola e ama vedere le persone che applicano la Parola nella loro vita.  Forma e sostiene  donne  per la loro crescita e per realizzare gli obiettivi che Dio ha per loro. 

Entrambi credono che 1 Corinzi 2: 9 si applica alla loro famiglia e alla famiglia ICCR: " Le cose che occhio non ha visto e che orecchio non ha udito e che non sono salite in cuor d'uomo, sono quelle che Dio ha preparato per quelli che lo amano”

On the left is Azmat Ullah Sohi. He oversees the church building and Men’s ministry.

Next to him is Isabel Deboch Abeba. She oversees the office of the Secretary, and Translation ministry. She is also an active member of the Financial Team.

Next to her is Terrie Lynne Jermey. She oversees the Women’s ministry and Prayer ministry.

Next to her is Emilia Sampang Rivera. She oversees the Ushers and Greeters' ministry.

Next to him is Fabio Ciccone. He oversees the Worship ministry. 

On the left we have 3 ministers: Kasun Fernando Kalhara, Anne Gathoni Njagi, Dhang Malitig.

Then we have pastor Jovette Dapapa. She oversees the spiritual side of the Worship team, Follow-up ministry and Bag of Hope ministry.

Next to her is pastor Melinda Gayo. She oversees the Discipleship ministry and Women's ministry.

Next to her is pastor Romulo Gayo. He oversees Men's ministry.

The International Christian Church Rome started when individuals and families of various nationalities in Rome, including Italians, came together with the desire of establishing a transparent church based on the Bible. Initially, the church body assembled informally on 18th October 2015 in one of the local hotels. By the grace of God, the church was quickly registered the following month, and believers continued to meet in a hotel conference hall. As more were added to the church, God led the Pastors to the place he has prepared as a permanent place of worship. 

At ICCR cultural and ethnic differences disappear as people from all parts of the world come together as brothers and sisters in the family of God. Nevertheless, our different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, when brought together, create a unique resource and we are able to use our diversity to our advantage as we spread the word of God and demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to the community.   

La Chiesa Internazionale Cristiana di Roma nasce quando individui e le famiglie di varie nazionalità a Roma, si sono riuniti con il desiderio di creare una chiesa trasparente basata sulla Bibbia. Inizialmente, la comunità della Chiesa si è riunita in modo informale il 18 ottobre 2015 in un hotel locale. Per grazia di Dio, la Chiesa è stata rapidamente registrato il mese successivo, e i credenti continuano a riunirsi in una sala conferenze dell'hotel. In concomitanza alla sempre più partecipazione di varie persone, Dio ha guidato i Pastori nel posto che ha preparato come luogo permanente di culto. 

A ICCR le barriere culturali ed etniche sono superate  dalle persone provenienti da tutte le parti del mondo che si riuniscono come fratelli e sorelle nella famiglia di Dio. Tuttavia, i nostri diversi background culturali ed etnici, quando ci riuniamo, creano una risorsa unica da utilizzare a nostro vantaggio per diffondere la parola di Dio e manifestare l'amore di Gesù Cristo per la comunità.
